The manufacturer of hybrids and electric cars, Zeekr, admitted that the Zeekr 9X luxury crossovers had widespread problems with the rear gearbox housings. As an informed source inside the manufacturing company told Motor magazine, service campaigns will be held around the world to replace units with cracks.
The editorial source emphasized that this campaign will not affect Russia, since the brand is not officially represented on the Russian market.
It is assumed that the affected Zeekr 9X crossovers will be equipped with an updated gearbox assembly, on the magnesium body of which numerous vertical amplifier castings have appeared. By increasing the torsional rigidity of the structure, they should solve the problem of longitudinal cracks.
The recall campaign on Zeekr 9X should begin before the end of the first quarter of 2026. Since the service will only affect those countries where the brand is officially present, Russian car owners will have to buy the unit at their own expense.
