The cost of maintenance for cars in 2025 will increase by 25–30 percent

This is what Mikhail Makovey, director of the Caready car service network, thinks. The reasons will be an increase in purchase prices, a high key rate, problems with logistics and an increase in mechanics’ salaries.

According to the Caready car service network, car maintenance has risen in price by 30% over the year, and the same increase is expected in 2025. As a rule, the increase in cost is associated with an increase in purchase prices for auto parts and consumables, the complication of logistics and a shortage of workers. Thus, the cost of filters and brake pads in the Caready network increased by an average of 12% over the year, and the oil and filter change service increased by 27%. The salaries of mechanics and inspection foremen increased by more than a third over the same period.

If we consider the cost of maintenance of the most popular models, the average check for the Kia Rio and Hyundai Solaris increased by about 13%. At the same time, maintenance of, for example, a Nissan X-Trail crossover with a mileage of 90 thousand kilometers by the end of this year became more expensive by 34%, increasing from 29,500 to 39,500 rubles.

“Next year we predict an increase in the cost of car servicing by 25-30% compared to current prices. The increase will be associated with an increase in the cost of spare parts, changes in tax legislation, maintaining the level of the key rate or increasing it, and the likely introduction of the “Honest Sign” system,” says Mikhail Makovey, director of the Caready car service network.
