The KamAZ forging plant has begun producing trial batches of stampings and crankshafts for the Chinese company Chery, the KamAZ Vesti portal reports, citing the director of the enterprise, Igor Malyasev.
“There are also areas that are under development: these are 14 additional positions for Ural; trial batches and crankshafts are now being stamped for Chery, which has local car production in Russia,” Malyasev said.
According to him, within the framework of the project, the production of a crankshaft for a 2-liter four-cylinder engine has already been launched, and the design of stamping equipment for a 1.4-liter crankshaft is also underway.
