The date for the appearance of the Omoda C7 crossover in Russia has been revealed

Sales of the 4.6-meter all-terrain vehicle, which will occupy a niche at the top of the Omoda range, will start in Russia in February of the coming year. This was reported by Avtostat with reference to the press service of the Chinese brand. A crossover with an original design, super-bright lights, a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine and optional all-wheel drive will compete for the Russian market with Geely Atlas, Haval F7 and Jetour Dashing.

The Omoda C7 is expected to come with a lower price tag than the larger Jaecoo J8. For J8 they ask from 4,599,000 rubles without discounts.

The C7 was designed according to the new design concept Omoda Art in Motion (“art in motion”), which, due to the play of light and shadow on the body, achieves the effect of continuous movement. Adding originality is a scattering of LED elements and lightning-shaped lights, which, according to the manufacturer, shine brighter than usual thanks to special technology. Wheel sizes are 18 or 19 inches.

Inside, the C7 has a 15.6-inch display of the Star-Rail multimedia system, which can be moved across the front panel. Atmospheric lighting in 256 colors should add coziness.

The crossover is powered by an Acteco 1.6 turbo engine with 150 horsepower (275 Nm of torque). It is paired with a seven-speed robotic gearbox with a dual wet clutch. Front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The C7 has MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear.

Next year, Omoda will also update the best-selling C5: it will have a new front design, making the crossover look similar to the older C7. There will probably be changes in the interior, but the engine range will most likely remain untouched.
