In 2025, BMW unveiled the digital M2 Dakar concept as an April Fool’s joke, but enthusiasts took it seriously. Now UAE tuners have built a full-fledged off-road vehicle inspired by that same joke, reports Carscoops.
The car received serious off-road modifications. The coupe was raised 3 inches (76 mm) using adjustable Flatout struts, and 17-inch wheels with aggressive off-road tires were installed instead of the factory 19-inch ones. This gave the car increased ground clearance and suspension travel needed for fast driving on sand.
The exterior has also changed: aluminum bumpers with integrated protective plates and towing eyes, and wheel arch extensions appeared at the front and rear. A Thule roof rack with LED headlights and deflectors is installed on the roof. The rear end features a central dual exhaust system to complete the look.

The technical stuff remains unchanged: under the hood is the same 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine with 382 hp, which transmits traction to the rear wheels.
The cost of the project has not been disclosed, but Zeus Offroad hinted that this vehicle will remain one of a kind. Previously, the studio had already created a similar project based on the Porsche Panamera, but usually specializes in tuning the Cayenne.
