The expected Geely crossover in Russia set a sales record in the PRC

Last week, the Chinese brand announced that the 100,000th Galaxy E5 electric car had left the assembly line. For five months of 2024, 77,685 such Geely electric converters were implemented, which is a record for sales in the segment. In Russia, the Galaxy E5 will soon appear through official channels, and during the year the model can be localized at Belji’s capacities in Belarus.

Even by Chinese standards, the production of 100 thousand new electric vehicles in six months is an excellent result. On sale in the Celestial Empire Geely Galaxy E5 appeared in early August. The novelty became a hit due to the competitive price: the basic version costs only 110 thousand yuan (15 thousand dollars), and the top complexation will pull on 146 thousand yuan (20 thousand dollars).

In China, the crossover distinguished himself with a millionaire battery. In the specification for Russia, the battery has not yet been written about the capacity of the battery, but they confirm a solid resource and fast charging from 10% to 80% in half an hour. It is known that they will bring to us a monotive 218-horsepower version with a margin of 430 kilometers, and the buyer will be able to choose from two options for the coloring of the cabin: dark blue and light gray.

At the moment, the Galaxy E5 (under the name Geely EX5) has been certified in Russia, however, in the second half of 2025, the electric car is planned to be localized in Belarus. The date of the start of sales in the CIS countries is not specified, but most likely the crossover will appear in dealers in the spring.
