The Federal Security Service found an alternative to Pirelli tires on Aurus

The general director of Cordiant JSC Vadim Volodin confirmed the Queto.ru portal: in the near future, the garage of special purposes will switch to the Gislaved domestic tires. New tires are designed specifically for unarous special services machines: they will save the previous drawing, but will have a different design. At the moment, the “light” Aurus are equipped with Pirelli tires.

Since 2018, the non -knotted Aurus Senat and Komendant have been equipped with Pirelli tires from the factory in Voronezh. Now rubber for luxury Russian cars will begin to produce in Ulyanovsk. There is no photo of the Gislaved tires for Aurus in the public domain, but it looks like only marking will change, because the picture is not supposed to change.

The only standard size recommended by the plant is 255/55 R20. However, the speed index changes depending on the purpose. For unarous Aurus, this is “W” (up to 270 km/h), for armored – “T” (up to 190 km/h).
