The Geely Preface sedan with a new pre-tax engine was certified in Russia

The vehicle type approval (VTA), which allows the start of mass sales of a car with a 150 hp engine, is valid from March 9, 2026 to March 8, 2029.

According to the new OTTS on Geely Preface seen by Motor, the new 2.0-liter four-cylinder in-line engine JLH-4G20TDX is developed by Aurobay Technology Co. It is paired with a seven-speed robotic transmission. The car can use AI-95 gasoline.

The front suspension of the sedan is on McPherson struts, and the rear is multi-link. Front-wheel drive only. Among the stated options are an emergency call system, climate control, as well as functions for monitoring tire pressure, electronic stability control (ESC), and emergency braking assistance (BAS).

The Chinese Geely Preface sedan is built on the CMA platform, developed jointly with Volvo. The length of the car is 4825 mm, width – 1880 mm, height – 1469 mm, wheelbase – 2800 mm.

Before this, the car was offered with a 2.0-liter engine producing 200 hp. and a 7-speed “robot”. Prices start from 3 million rubles excluding discounts.
