The market for new passenger cars in Russia grew by 15% in April 2026

As the head of Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, reported in his Telegram channel, a total of 117.5 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia in April 2026.

The top three for the past month looks like this: Lada – 31.85 thousand units (+11.8%), Haval – 16.49 thousand units (+27.6%) and Tenet – 11.99 thousand units.

The top 10 also included Geely (6.79 thousand), Belgee (5.74 thousand), Changan (4.54 thousand), Jaecoo (3.39 thousand), Jetour (2.87 thousand), Toyota (2.79 thousand) and Solaris (2.38 thousand).

In total, in the first 4 months of 2026, 382.5 thousand new passenger cars were sold on the Russian market, which is 9.6% more than in the same period last year, Tselikov said.
