The Mercedes-AMG denied the return of V8 to the family C 63

The representative of the American branch of the company told the Motor1.com portal that the updated Mercedes-AMG family will not return to the Burburbos-Smererke. The new generation V8 engine is under development, but the plan for the introduction of this unit did not comment. Thus, the British Autocar inside was only partially confirmed, and there will be no complete refusal of electrification.

Rumors about returning V8 instead of an unpopular hybrid system based on the “turbo -cher” have been going on for more than a month. However, in the German company, although they recognize the loss of customers, they are not ready to abandon the chosen development path. Probably, the hybrid will remain after restyling, although the gasoline component may change.

Kruty-I don’t want to: the most high-speed V8 to Russia brought the latest E-Class from Mercedes-AMG: the price was surprised by the Mercedes chief designer recognized the problems of the interior with the “hypertension”

The development of a new V8 means that its future is out of danger, and the unit is adapted to EURO-7 economists. According to unofficial data, the working volume of less than 4.0 liters will remain, but the motorists will switch to a flat crankshaft circuit in the spirit of AMG GT Black Series. For the sake of ecologists, the V8 will be supplemented with a 48-volt starter-generator, that is, electrification will be moderate. Perhaps the motor will debut on the AMG Cle 63 compartment.

After stagnation of electric vehicles in Mercedes-Benz, they decided to extend the life cycles of gasoline engines: even V12 will remain in the ranks! The neighbors from Porsche were also disappointed in electrifying and resumed investments in power plants on fossil fuel: the planes of both the gasoline Macan and Cayenne.
