The Kalashnikov concern announced the shipment of the second batch of cars for special services. We are talking about small armored cars “Wall”: a dump and superstructure are mounted on the four-axle chassis, which forms a 7.5-meter sliding bulletproof shield with boards and sites for police or the Russian Guard. The new armored car is designed to suppress mass protests.

The exact number of special vehicles contracted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Rosguard is not specified. However, the scope of the “wall” is limited by large cities: the truck can block the crowd on the street. There is a fire extinguishing function, the shield is booking in the BR1 class (protects against small and traumatic weapons), ten loopholes and spotlights are provided, as well as cameras with the function of recognition of persons.

Using the dump, an armored car can destroy the barricades and move 2.5-ton items. The crew consists of two people: a driver and operator. In the working position, the “wall” can turn around in five minutes. Natural restriction – hydraulics do not like water, therefore, under intensive rain, the equipment can be no more than 60 minutes, and the relative humidity should not exceed 95%.

The main recipients of the “walls” are units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard, however, to eliminate emergency situations, such trucks became interested in the Ministry of Emergencies. The novelty can work in tandem with armored cars with watering guns. Although the use of special equipment is limited, similar machines are on the balance of most world special services.
