The Ministry of Transport will develop a post-payment mechanism for parking

Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin gave a number of instructions to the heads of federal authorities following his speech with a report in the State Duma.

The Ministry of Transport has been instructed to study the proposals of deputies on the legislative enshrinement of the post-payment mechanism for parking. The report must be submitted by June 1.

Now in Moscow, for all tariff zones, the time during which it is necessary to pay for parking is 5 minutes. You must leave the place within 5 minutes after completing your parking session.

In the Russian Parking application, a motorist can change the start time of parking, extend expired parking, and also correct the number of the car and/or parking zone.

Meanwhile, in St. Petersburg the rules for paying for parking will be changed. Drivers will have the opportunity to change the data of the parking session – its end time, as well as information about the parked car.

The Transport Committee of St. Petersburg emphasized that the driver’s obligation to begin the parking session no later than 15 minutes after stopping remains.
