The Moskvich plant organized the production of electric scooters

The Yandex Go rental service, the Moscow automobile technocluster Moskvich and the capital’s Department of Transport have launched a pilot project for the local assembly of personal mobility equipment (IM). As part of the test phase, 2 thousand electric scooters will be produced at Moskvich facilities.

Electric scooters are completely designed by Russian engineers. In the Moskvich technocluster, personal mobility equipment goes through a full production cycle.

In Moscow, large-scale assembly, configuration of all systems, comprehensive testing of electronics, as well as checking the serviceability of wheels, brake systems and lighting devices are carried out.

Control tests include passing obstacles: climbing five-meter ramps, simulating movement on paving stones, and overcoming a series of speed bumps.

In Russia, stocks of two Chinese brands of cars have almost run out. In Belarus, production of the new Geely crossover has begun. The Sitrak truck brand will offer passenger cars to Russians.

Earlier, Vladimir Putin instructed to study the issue of updating the regulatory framework regarding the use of electric scooters, unicycles and other personal mobility devices (IM).
