The Motor on the first attempt went to the leaders of the Russian races!

We promised that at the start of the new season of the Russian series of ring racing there would be something to see – and did not deceive. The first stage of the Russian championship in the top -end SMP TCR Russia turned out to be extremely bright. It is enough to bring the statistics of punishments for incorrect maneuvers in attack and defense. About half of the participants received them, who were discharged about a minute of the penalty time in total – an average of more than 2 penalty seconds from each combat circle! – And 12 penalties.

Partly in this, the format of competitions is “to blame for”, where the struggle cannot be avoided, even being very fast. In particular, last year’s champion Mikhail Simonov, on the new Leon Cupra VZ, won the first of two weeks of weekend with an advantage of almost 10 seconds. But the second race, in accordance with the rules, began from the end of the first ten and, trying to break into the leaders, flew out of the highway after contact with one of the rivals.

In this situation, a balanced and reasonable ride can bring great benefits – with its help, in good layouts, you can compensate for the lack of speed. And it turned out perfectly for the Innostage AG Team team, the media partner of which the Motor was before the start of the season and on the cars of which stickers with our logo appeared.

For example, the team leader Yegor Sanin soon after the start was a leader’s position, although his Audi RS3 LMS was far from a quick car on the highway. When the fastest rivals pulled up behind the racer from Ulyanovsk, Sanin did not withstand the leadership with his last strength, but focused on withstanding the optimal pace. As a result, the finish line Yegor crossed the third and after the award ceremony played another position when one of the rivals was fined for too hard driving.

A day later, from the current situation, the other racer of Innostage Ag Team was able to squeeze out the maximum. The Togliattinets started the first in accordance with the rules where, when forming the starting grille of the second race, the first ten qualifications “turn over”. As a result, the race on the Moscow Raceway highway brought an incredible result to our team: four podiums in two races plus – for the first time in the history of the team – leadership in the personal (Yegor Sanin) and the team counseling of the Russian Championship!
