The new Li Auto L9 crossover was shown in China

The flagship model L9 Livis is designed to stir up interest in the brand after the emergence of strong competitors. It received a fully controlled chassis, which allows it to reduce the turning radius, as well as a media system with increased computing power.

The main feature of the new product is its record computing power – 2,560 trillion operations per second. It is provided by a pair of its own Mach 100 chips. In terms of information processing speed, the new Li Auto L9 surpasses the previous record holder, Xpeng G7.

The car chassis has been completely redesigned. Technical innovations include an electromechanical braking system and drive-by-wire control. The manufacturer claims that these systems provide security at several levels. All wheels of the new L9 are steerable, allowing for a shorter turning radius and improved road handling. The active suspension uses powerful electric drives, which make mechanical anti-roll bars unnecessary.

The original Li Auto L9, launched in 2022, was initially very successful: 114.4 thousand cars were sold in 2023, but then strong competitors appeared. Among them are Aito M9, Denza N9 and Zeekr 9X. As a result, sales of Li Auto L9 fell by 25% in 2024 and by 47% in 2025. Last year’s small restyling did not stir up interest in the car, as a result a new generation is being introduced to the market.

Active Suspension: The L9 Livis features an 800V active suspension that can independently lift each wheel with 10,000 newtons of force, which the manufacturer claims makes anti-roll bars unnecessary. The cost of the new product in China will be 559.8 thousand yuan (7.8 million rubles). Exact data on power, battery capacity and power reserve have not yet been disclosed.
