The new Mazda3 received matrix headlights and a motorcycle detection system

According to Carscoops, eight years after the release of the compact hatchback and sedan, the Japanese manufacturer decided not to carry out a full restyling, but limited itself to minimal changes.

The first market for the updated version will be Europe, then the car will appear in other regions.

The main technical innovation is matrix LED headlights with a pedestrian illumination function. The adaptive cruise control system now works in conjunction with traffic sign recognition.

The emergency braking system and the electronic lane change assistant have learned to detect motorcycles. There are new gray accents throughout the cabin, but the glossy black plastic on the center console will remain.

The Homura Plus package has been added with a surround view system, parking sensors, heated seats and Bose acoustics with 12 speakers.

The power units remain the same: a version with a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 140 hp will be offered. paired with a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, as well as a 186-horsepower e-Skyactiv X hybrid system with front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

Previously, 10 family crossovers that never break down were named.
