The fact that the start of sales of the model can be shifted from May to July was told in the Russian newspaper in the dealer community. Initially, it was reported that the launch was scheduled for May 26, but Moskvich never announced the start of sales. Moreover, there is still no official information about the start of serial production.
According to the slides of the internal presentation, which was previously referred by the Telegram channel “Auto-Po-Polar”, “Moskvich 8”, it is also turned by the JAC X8 Plus, in three levels of execution-“Business”, “Techno” and “Premium”. The list of standard equipment will include 19-inch discs, LED optics, two 12.3-inch screens, cruise control, parking sensors and a rear view camera. Safety pillows of such a crossover will have six.

The most expensive crossover in the gamut will receive a panoramic roof with a hatch, an audio system with 12 speakers, adaptive cruise control, as well as emergency braking systems, retention in the strip and preventing clashes.
Moskvich 8 is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 174 horsepower in conjunction with a seven-speed “robot”. The drive, unlike Chery, is only the front, the average fuel consumption is 8.3 liters per 100 kilometers. According to preliminary data, there will be no variety of body colors: only white and black will be offered.
In the meantime, the Moskvich model line consists of crossovers with indices 3 and 3E, as well as the Moskvich 6 liftback. For the first quarter of 2025, the domestic brand realized 3.4 thousand cars. Since the beginning of the year, Moskvich’s sales are stable: 1.1 thousand cars were sold in January, the same amount was sold in February, and in March a little more – 1.2 thousand. All three months, as before, the sales driver was the Moskvich 3 fuel crossover. For the whole of 2024, Moskvich sold 23 thousand cars.
