In Moscow, a super sedan in the back of the W214 appeared in one of the showrooms. We are talking about the Mercedes-AMG E 53 model 2024: such cars have been sold in Europe since the summer at a price of 109 thousand euros. A rich set of equipment was brought to Russia with a two-tone black and brown interior and low-profile 21-inch wheels, and for a sedan from stock you will have to pay 23,650,000 rubles!
New Mercedes E-Class: hybrids, a key in the clock and an anti-motion sickness system
The new Mercedes-AMG E 53 debuted in March. In the W214 body, the “charged” model is only a hybrid. The M 256’s in-line 3.0-liter turbo-six is combined with a 9-speed automatic transmission with a built-in electric motor. The peak output of the system is 585 horsepower and 750 Nm, so the sedan accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in four seconds.

A battery with a capacity of 28.6 kilowatt-hours is enough for 100 kilometers without activating the internal combustion engine, so sometimes the hybrid will have to be charged from an outlet. Standard equipment includes a fully controlled chassis, adaptive dampers and a sports suspension, but you had to pay extra for the MBUX Superscreen three-screen cockpit. The capital’s sedan is not the most equipped: for example, there are no accessories of the “welcome” Edition 1 series.

In Germany, the most equipped Mercedes-AMG E 53 will approach the mark of 150 thousand euros (16.3 million rubles), but the car available in Russia is significantly more expensive: this is the price for exclusiveness. The new AMG E 53 have not yet been seen on our roads, and there are not many regular E-Classes in the “two hundred and fourteenth” body, because they were not officially delivered.
