The financial report “AGR Automobile Plant” is published – this name is now bearing “Hend Motor Manufacturing Rus”, which, until the spring of 2022, produced the Hyundai Creta, Solaris, Kia Rio and Rio X. After the Korean company departure from Russia and the renewal of production from the conveyor, all the same cars, but under the bracket of Solaris. From the financial statements referred to by Fontanka, it follows that the revenue of the plant for 2024 amounted to 29.4 billion rubles, and net profit – 1.9 billion.
The ex- “Hende Motor Manufactoring Rus” was idle from March 1, 2022 to January 9, 2024. Last year, the company returned to work-there they organized the production of cars from the remaining components after the departure of Hyundai-Kia. But under the previous brands it was not possible to produce them, so the new owner of the plant registered the Solaris brand. So on the Russian market appeared the Solaris HS sedan (Hyundai Solaris), the Solaris HC (Hyundai Creta) crossover, the Solaris KRS (Kia Rio) sedan and the hatchback of SOLARIS KRX (Kia Rio X).
The financial results of 2024 were lower than before the start of its own and the departure of Hyundai-Kia. So, for example, in 2021 the revenue of the plant amounted to 206.9 billion rubles, net profit – 11.2 billion.

This year, the company can improve indicators. At the end of March 2025, the 30,000th Solaris car came off the assembly line, and until the end of this year, the plant intends to increase production pace to 200 cars per day. The production plan for the current year is 2.5 times higher than last year.
Meanwhile, Korean media write that Hyundai and Kia intend to return to the Russian market. The concern allegedly “studies the possibilities of restarting business against the backdrop of a new thaw in relations between Russia and the USA”, but the final decision has not yet been made.
So far, Hyundai-Kia has time to not only return, but also redeem its St. Petersburg factory back-the sale transaction provided for an option for a return ransom, and it is valid until the end of 2025.
