The production volume of the former Kaluga plant Volkswagen was disclosed

After the Germans left, the enterprise departed the company “Agr” (AGR Automotive Group). For a long time it was idle, and in the second quarter of 2025, the production of cars of the new brand – Tenet will be put there. According to AiF Kaluga with reference to the governor of the region Vladislav Shapsha, in the year the site plans to produce 112 thousand cars.

In addition, Shapsha mentioned the ex-enterprise “Peugeot Citroen” (“Psma Rus”) in the Kaluga region. There, the company “Automobile Technologies” is now producing Citroen crossovers from machine tools coming from China.

This year, the Haval M6 crossover moved to the enterprise conveyor, which was previously assembled in Tula. The former PSMA RUS in 2025 is going to produce 25 thousand cars.

As for the Volkswagen, in February, AGR announced the launch of Tenet’s own car brand. Under it will be produced by Chinese cars. The first -born will become 32T – this is the CHERI TIGGO 7L with other nameplates. It will be followed by 3XT based on Tiggo 4, and the third model will be 31t – perhaps this is Tiggo 8 Pro Max. The assembly will be launched in the second quarter of this year – that is, from April to July.

In March, it was reported that the former VW plant began to get rid of Volkswagen and Skoda details. The gearboxes and motors that were equipped with German and Czech Russian assemblies put up for sale: you can buy 1.4-liter turbo engines and machine guns.
