The revived Volga brand launched the registration of a new trademark VLG Tech in the Russian Federation

JSC “Production of Passenger Cars”, which owns exclusive rights to the Volga brand, has filed an application to register a new trademark – VLG Tech. The document was published on the website of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS).

The relevant documents were received by the department on April 27 and were published on April 28.

The application was submitted immediately for 14 classes of the International Classification of Goods and Services. The list includes not only automotive components and spare parts, but also technical fluids, lubricants, anti-corrosion drugs, hand tools, lighting and climate control equipment. In addition, the company plans to produce stationery, textiles, clothing, shoes, rugs, toys and even posters under the new brand.

Let us remind you that the revival of the legendary Volga brand was officially announced in February 2026. Serial production of cars under this brand should begin in the second quarter of 2026, and sales at official dealerships will start in the third quarter.

At the start, the brand’s portfolio will be represented by three models: the K40 crossovers (D-SUV segment) and K50 (C-SUV segment), as well as the C50 business class sedan.
