The service bill for a rare AMG One with mileage reached 3.2 million rubles

The rarest AMG One ever made will go to auction at RM Sotheby’s with just 185 kilometers on the clock and a paint and servicing bill equal to the cost of a new car. Carscoops reports this.

The development of the Mercedes-AMG One took an exceptionally long time: engineers found it difficult to adapt the power unit, borrowed from Formula 1, into a production car. When the model finally came out, it lived up to expectations, setting a new Nurburgring lap record among production cars. Production ended at the end of 2023, with a total of 275 units produced. One of them, painted in a unique color, is now up for sale.

Auction house RM Sotheby’s will hold auctions later this month. The hypercar on display has a mileage of just 115 miles (185 km). Usually, with such a low mileage, maintenance is not required, but the owner still contacted the service. Earlier this year, Mercedes-AMG carried out scheduled maintenance of category A and extended the vehicle warranty until February 2028.

The attached invoice deserves special attention. The total amount was 37,610 euros (approximately 3.2 million rubles). In terms of mileage, this is about 383 dollars (28 thousand rubles) for each mile (1.6 km) traveled. Breaking down the costs reveals why scheduled maintenance for a category A hypercar costs so much. Only 80 hours of work by mechanics with an hourly rate of 395 euros (about 33 thousand rubles) results in 31,600 euros (about 2.7 million rubles) – and this does not even take into account the cost of the spare parts themselves.
