The Spanish sports sub-brand of Volkswagen – Cupra – showed its most compact electric car. The model called Raval is the “sister” of the future VW ID. Polo and Skoda Epiq. They will appear in Europe at the end of 2026. Carscoops reports this.
With a length of just over 4 meters, the Raval belongs to the supermini segment, but its wheelbase (2600 mm) and boot volume (441 l) exceed expectations. The car is also wider and lower than typical for this class, providing a squat, stable stance.
The new product is based on the MEB+ platform from the Volkswagen Group, which it will share with the ID models. Polo and Epiq. It’s a budget version of the architecture found in larger electric vehicles (ID.4, Born), redesigned for compact, affordable front-wheel drive cars.
A wide selection of power units is available for buyers. The entry-level Raval offers a 114 hp engine. and a traction battery with a capacity of 37 kWh, providing a range of about 300 km. The top version of Raval Plus is equipped with a 133 hp engine. and the same battery pack, but with the ability to quickly charge up to 88 kW, which allows you to replenish the charge from 10% to 80% in about 23 minutes.
