The third stage of the Systême Electric drift championship has ended in the Krasnodar region

A total of 81 entries were submitted for the competition, but 72 athletes took part in the qualification, which took place on Saturday. This was reported by the press service of the Systême Electric Drift Championship.

“Each stage of the Championship is full of emotions, but this time there was an event that shocked the entire drift community: the titled driver Georgy Chivchyan, whose collection includes numerous cups from both Russian and world starts, was unable to perform at the 3rd stage of SDC: during paired training on the eve of qualifying, Dmitry Shcherbina in a Toyota Mark II approached Georgy too riskily, which resulted in the loss of the legendary NGK Nissan Silvia S15 “Russian woman,” the message says.

The pilot was not injured, but the Rossiyanka was seriously damaged. Also, due to technical problems, the Nissan Skyline R34 of Dmitry Semenyuk, a legend of Russian drift, did not start.

The winner of the first two stages, Leonid Schneider (Krasnoyarsk), qualified with 99.5 points, and in the doubles races he again competed with Artem Shabanov (Moscow). As in the November final, Schneider turned out to be stronger this time – he took third place.

Almost two thousand spectators and participants watched the races, observed the mutual assistance of the teams in the service park, communicated with the pilots and were charged with emotions from the passion of sports. The final, fourth stage of the SDC championship will take place this coming weekend – March 28 and 29.
