According to the Hongqi press service, the new model received Vehicle Type Approval in December 2024, and it will arrive in dealer showrooms in the spring or summer. The H6 is a D-class liftback, which, like other Hongqi models, belongs to the premium segment. It reaches 4.99 meters in length, and under the hood it has a 245-horsepower gasoline turbo engine. In the current model line of the brand, the new product will occupy a niche between the H5 business sedan and the H9 executive sedan.
As expected, the petrol turbo engine (245 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque) will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter. From zero to 100, the H6 liftback with such a combination of engine and gearbox accelerates in less than seven seconds. Prices are still unknown, but most likely the new product will be slightly more expensive than the H5 sedan, which as of early December costs from 4.79 million rubles.

Equipment for the H6 includes the active Continuous Damping Control (CDC) suspension, which analyzes data on the road surface and vehicle dynamics and adapts the settings every two milliseconds. In some versions, the H6 can be ordered in a two-tone body.
Hongqi has patented a convertible based on the H6 liftback. Hongqi is preparing new products for Russia in 2025: a liftback, a sedan and a crossover. The serial Hongqi L1 was shown in Paris, which will be brought to Russia.
Following the H6, Russia is waiting for the second-generation HS7 crossover, which could potentially replace the outgoing Toyota Highlander for Russians. In China, it is equipped with a two-liter engine with 252 horsepower and a 48-volt starter-generator, and the transmission is an eight-speed automatic. The model also has an all-wheel drive option with an electronically controlled clutch at the rear, but it is not yet known which of them will reach our market. Hongqi HS7 will launch in mid-2025.
