According to Izvestia, three cars with a new power plant took part in the tests, which drove 15 thousand kilometers each. As part of the tests, experts evaluated the driving qualities of cars, as well as the performance of many systems at temperatures up to –27 degrees Celsius.

During the tests, the specialists of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant checked the calibration of electronic engine control systems, the operation of on -board diagnostics, as well as the functionality of automatic regeneration of the soot filter designed to reduce the level of emissions.
