The updated sports liftback Changan UNI-V is capable of taking up from 15 to 20% of the total sales of the UNI line in Russia. This forecast is explained by the model’s adaptation to the needs of local drivers, stylish and dynamic design, and the presence of bright body colors. The commercial director of the Pragmatika dealership network, Alexander Shaprinsky, reported this to the analytical agency Autostat.
“The main competitors of the updated UNI-V on the Russian market can be considered Geely Preface with a 2.0 engine, GAC Empow. The key advantages of the new product include a powerful engine, an expanded package of “warm” options and modern technologies. Official prices have not been announced at the moment, but we expect that the car will cost about 3.5 million rubles in the presented Sport configuration,” comments Alexander Shaprinsky.
According to the expert, the updated Changan UNI-V liftback is designed for three main categories of buyers. First of all, these are young drivers who value dynamics, modern design and high technology. These are also car enthusiasts looking for a balance between sporty performance and comfort for everyday driving. In addition, the model will be of interest to those who want an alternative to traditional sedans and crossovers and are ready to choose a car based on their heart, and not just practicality.
The updated sports liftback Changan UNI-V is already completing preparations for entering the Russian market. The model will be available in only one, but at the same time the most equipped Sport version. Under the hood of the updated UNI-V is a 2.0-liter Blue Core turbo engine with 235 hp. and 390 Nm. Paired with an 8-speed Aisin automatic transmission, it accelerates the liftback to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, which is 0.7 seconds faster than the previous version.
