The winner of the international competition “Diesel Engine of the Year” has been announced

An expert jury awarded the Diesel Engine of the Year award to the AGCO Power Core80 engine. This Finnish-made unit is designed for heavy agricultural and construction equipment. The AGCO Power Core80 is an 8-liter, 6-cylinder diesel engine that produces 338 hp. and 1680 Nm. The unit, meeting the fifth class of environmental friendliness, can run on alternative fuels, including biodiesel.

Curious features of the engine are the variable geometry of the turbocharger, steel pistons, and the number of parts reduced by 25% compared to its predecessors.
