In the first 24 hours after the start of sales in China, Tesla received about 50 thousand orders for the restyled Model Y electric car, known as Project Juniper. Those who want to buy a Model Y now will have to stand in line: they will wait for their car until April or May, they say at Chinese Tesla showrooms.

The updated Model Y debuted last week in China, while the pre-reform version is still available in the brand’s native USA.
