At the beginning of this year, in Russia they wanted to launch an inspection of the presence of OSAGO with the help of cameras. Drivers have not yet been going to be fined: it was proposed to limit ourselves to notifications about the need to issue a policy. However, this system was not easy to launch, since a significant refinement of the public services portal, as well as the “financial and economic justification” and the assessment of the expenses of the federal budget, are required.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that a feedback form should appear to launch the “pilot” on public services. The car owner who received a notification, with its help, could confirm or refute the presence of an OSAGO policy. Without feedback, there is no sense in the experiment, the ministry said.

The Ministry of Finance asks for another four months to finalize and coordinate the project. That is, the pilot check of OSAGO with the help of cameras will be launched no earlier than June 30.

In the Russian Union of Auto Stores (RSA), they urge to do this as soon as possible. They recalled that up to 10 percent of car owners ride without OSAGO.
