The author of the initiative was the leader of the LDPR, Leonid Slutsky. He sent a corresponding letter to the Minister of Internal Affairs Vladimir Kolokoltsev. The parliamentarian believes that operators of evacuation services must necessarily inform car owners about the fact that the car has been moved, the reasons for the evacuation and where the car is stored in a special parking lot, TASS reports.
According to Slutsky, technically this is not difficult to implement – the Gosuslugi portal and the Gosuslugi Auto application already allow you to send notifications to users. The problem is that now such a mechanism works only on a voluntary basis and is initiated by third parties.
In fact, citizens often find out about the evacuation only when they receive the protocol or begin to look for the car themselves, and in the first minutes they generally suspect it has been stolen.
Slutsky is confident that the introduction of mandatory notifications through State Services will make the process more transparent and reduce the burden on emergency services.
