Toyota is preparing to launch a new version of the Hilux pickup in 2025

The new model, called Hilux Travo, according to preliminary information, will receive a modernized frame platform and an expanded set of driver assistants. The concern also plans to update its engine range, adhering to current environmental standards. The introduction of modern technologies and updated exterior and interior design promise to make the model competitive in the market. Perhaps the pickup will also have an electric modification.

Toyota has begun preparations for the launch of a new generation of Hilux pickup truck. According to information from Headlight, based on documents from the Patent Office of Thailand, the model will receive a new local name – Hilux Travo. This indicates Toyota’s intentions to bring the new generation Hilux to the local Thai market. Previous versions of the Hilux pickup truck were sold in this region as the Hilux Revo and Hilux Vigo. It is planned that the updated pickup will retain the reliable frame platform, but with upgraded components, including a new steering mechanism that increases the capabilities of driver assistants.

In addition, Toyota plans to update the engine range without fundamentally changing it, but at the same time taking into account possible changes in environmental standards. Also, the new Hilux should receive a completely new exterior and interior, and will also be available in a battery-powered version. In the Thai market, the pickup truck will compete with other models such as the Mitsubishi L200 and Ford Ranger.

In mid-December, Toyota introduced a new three-row crossover based on the Hilux Camp, which will be produced in Indonesia. The new product, called Hilux Rangga SUV, is aimed at the Indonesian market. The model has only rear-wheel drive, and there are two engines to choose from: a two-liter gasoline and a 2.4-liter turbodiesel. The crossovers will be produced by the Indonesian body company New Armada, the volumes will be small – about 50 cars per month.
