The American unit Toyota shared the final teaser images of the next, sixth RAV4 generation. The premiere will take place tomorrow, May 21, but for now we have gathered what is known about the novelty by this hour. Nothing revolutionary from the “sixth” generation is expected: Rav4 will remain on the same platform, and changes in the design of the exterior and interior will be more evolutionary.

The main changes are expected in the exterior design – RAV4 will become more angular and brutal than the real generation crossover. He will have a branded C-shaped optics, and the rear lights, consisting of vertical LED elements, will “move” to a black glossy panel. The novelty was shown on teasers in different versions – sports with a black spoiler above the fifth door and off -road with mud tires.

Apparently, Toyota Rav4 will retain the previous GA-K platform and, according to unofficial data, two hybrid modifications without the possibility of charging from the network and one plug-in hybrid. The completely electric version is not excluded.

The plant in St. Petersburg, where RAV4 was previously produced, and with it Camry, was first transferred to the subordinate Ministry of Industry and Trade of FSUE by us, and then the manufacturer of domestic vehicles of the Aurus luxury class.

In March, it became known that the former Toyota plant was preparing for a restart. According to unofficial data, it was planned to produce cars in cooperation with Chinese Hongqi on the site, but they still have not stood on the conveyor.
