UAZ has certified the diesel modification of the Profi model

The two-liter engine, developed by JAC, produces 136 hp. maximum power and 320 Nm of torque. The production of these units is carried out by the Elabuga site of the Sollers company, or, more precisely, by the plant that previously produced Ford internal combustion engines.

As Gazeta.Ru notes, this diesel engine is powered by a 6-speed manual transmission manufactured by Sollers PT LLC. So far, the rear-wheel drive modification has been issued, but all-wheel drive vehicles should be certified soon.

Let us recall that the UAZ Profi was created to compete with the Gazelle Business. But the result is a niche model, which is chosen by another category of carriers – those who value the UAZ brand, but want to get a more modern product than the SGR line.
