UAZ “Patriot” acquired a new gearbox

The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant released the first SUVs with an updated atmospheric, ZMZ Pro with a volume of 2.7 liters and a six -speed mechanical transmission of the Chinese JAC. So far, this is only a trial batch on which UAZ partners will run into the operation of electronics. Then another one will be released for full -scale tests.

SUVs with the new manual transmission will be shipped to UAZ partners who will set up electronic systems for them, including active security systems. Later, such “patriots” will be checked in the case, including in real conditions.

The six -speed “mechanics” for UAZs began to be released in the spring of this year. Production has been established at the capacities of the Zavolzhsky engine factory (ZMZ), which is part of the Sollers holding.

The Jac Sixth Street will also be combined with a turbodiesel of the same Chinese brand with a volume of two liters. In UAZ itself, it is hoped that the diesel “patriot” will account for 15-20 percent of the sales of the model.
