In social networks, the brand spoke about the creative path of designer Igor Davydov and lit up the previously unprecedented works of the artist. We are talking about all-terrain vehicles UAZ-3172 and UAZ-3972 in the framework of the project “Wagon”. New models were supposed to replace the obsolete UAZ-450/469, not inferior to the predecessors in patency. De facto Igor Davydov worked on the replacement of both the “loaf” and the future of “Hunter”.

UAZ-3172 was developed by order of the Ministry of Defense, and Soviet engineers and designers got an analogue of the first-generation Range Rover. It was assumed that the all-terrain vehicle will be able to transport up to one ton of cargo, overcome a 1.3-meter ford and 30-degree lifts, and the interior contained up to 10 passengers. Even options with three differential locks were considered. Alas, in 1993, the authorities did not find funds to finance the project, therefore, in the end, the UAZ-469 did not receive a new body, and a compromise Hunter went into the series.
