At the end of the year, the group, which includes the Volkswagen brands as well as Skoda, Seat, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche, MAN and Scania, delivered 9.03 million vehicles worldwide. This is 210 thousand less than a year earlier. Demand has fallen most noticeably in the Asia-Pacific region, where pressure from Chinese competitors is growing rapidly.
Vehicle deliveries to Western Europe fell 0.4 percent in 2024 to 3.3 million. In Central and Eastern Europe, sales rose 1.7 percent to 512 thousand; in North America – by 6.4 percent, to 1.06 million.
The most noticeable growth was recorded in South America – by 14.7 percent, to 594 thousand cars. In particular, sales in Brazil increased by 18.2 percent.

In the Asia-Pacific region, demand fell 10.3 percent. The reason is a decline in sales in the once key Chinese market for Volkswagen, which is now filled by local brands. In China, the decline was 9.5 percent.
Demand for electric cars is also weakening: in 2024, Volkswagen delivered 744.8 thousand such cars worldwide, which is 3.4 percent less than in 2023.
The only VAG brand that is doing well is Lamborghini. Last year, like 2023, was a record year for it: 10,687 cars were sold. Most of the supercars were bought in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Among the public’s favorites are the Urus and Revuelto.
