Volkswagen Jetta Crossover will receive a new design

In the open base of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the PRC, details about the “senior” model VS8 appeared. We are talking about a crossover based on the Jetta VS7 officially supplied to Russia with another lighting technology and plumage. The wheeled base differs into a symbolic millimeter, the height does not change, the width increases by a centimeter, the length by half a centimeter. The perception is different.

Jetta VS7 is a Chinese analogue of Skoda Karoq/Volkswagen TaOS from the joint venture FAW-VOLKSWAGEN. The new VS8 is stronger than externally: other bumpers and the fifth door, original lighting equipment. Technically, everything is the old way: like Jetta VS5/VS7, the new “eight” is built on the MQB platform with an independent rear suspension, and under the hood, the 1.4 TSI (150 hp) in a connection with a classic 6-speed automatic and front-wheel drive. It is expected that the crossover will replace the “seven”, but will rise in price slightly from the current 110-134 thousand yuan (15.3-18.6 thousand dollars).
