Xcite cars are no longer produced. But the project is not closed

The Xcite crossovers no longer go from the conveyor “Automobile Plant St. Petersburg” (ex-Nissan enterprise): production stopped a year and a half after the start. This was reported by “KP-Petersburg” with reference to the head of the enterprise Ivan Mironov. At the same time, the brand will continue to exist and can be restarted if the market situation allows.

Lada dealers still have a margin of Xcite – about 3,500 cars that will continue to be sold. According to Mironov, relations with a partner – the Chery brand, the models of which are the basis of Xcite.

“The market will dictate further steps to us. The project did not stand, we just started quickly, made a large number of cars in the falling market. If growth goes, I do not exclude the fact that, for example, we will order an additional batch, ”said the head of the plant.

Xcite is sold with huge discounts – up to 750,000 rubles are called two Geely models that can become new “Volga” by another Jaecoo J7: in Russia they will be presented with a crossover in the spirit of Range Rover

The Saint Petersburg Automobile Plant was in 2024. In the spring, the production of Xcite X-Cross 7 began there-he is also Cher Tiggo 7 Pro. In the fall, a larger X-Cross 8 with three rows of seats, which is Cheri Tiggo 8 Pro Max, stood on the conveyor.

Rumors that Xcite production had been stopped for a long time: for example, the Russian car reported this, for example, back in March of this year. However, the plant will not stand idle: AvtoVAZ has already launched the Lada ISKRA assembly there. The first “sparks” of the St. Petersburg assembly have already been shipped to dealers.

The one who cannot be called: how they collect XCite crossovers at the former Nissan plant
