A few weeks ago, billboards began appearing on the streets of the capital of a neighboring country, announcing the imminent appearance of new Belarusian-made cars. Some publications hastened to report that the cars will be assembled by the local Unison automobile plant.
Later, the Belarusian Ministry of Industry hastened to report literally the following: “Not a single enterprise in the industry has received official permission or other permitting documentation for the production of Zubr brand cars.”
But now Zubr cars were photographed in the parking lot of one of the Minsk car dealerships. What they are doing there (as well as what the fate of the project is) is unknown.
The cars themselves turned out to be renamed models from the Forthing brand, of which there were five: Legenda, Volat, Talisman, Relikt, plus the electric crossover Zorka.
A parking lot of forgotten Soviet cars was found in a St. Petersburg yard. The owner attached a shipping container to a Toyota Alphard minivan. MAZ will stop producing its most popular buses.
Earlier, Lukashenko demanded the creation of a 100% Belarusian car. This became known during a meeting between the President of Belarus and the management of the Belgi automobile plant.
