The Lynk & Co 900 all-terrain vehicle debuted in China: this is a new three-row hybrid model that has become the technological showcase of the holding. The “nine hundredth” is based on the promising SPA Evo platform: de facto a development of the Volvo XC90 chassis, but the Swedish brand is not supported by this architecture at all. But in the coming months, Lynk & Co 900 will have “clones” under the Zeekr and Geely Galaxy brands.
Lynk&Co 09 – XC90 for the digital and young
Until recently, the flagship of Lynk & Co was the five-meter crossover 09, built on the Volvo SPA platform. But its functions became insufficient to compete with full-size hybrids. The “900th” surpassed the Li Auto L9 in all respects: the length/width/height of the new product are 5240/1999/1810 millimeters, respectively, and the wheelbase is 3160 mm.
And this is not the limit: the SPA Evo architecture allows the production of larger cars with axle distances of up to 3300 mm; A fully controlled chassis appeared with a rear wheel rotation angle of 20 degrees, adaptive shock absorbers and two-chamber air struts were standardly installed. The suspension design is fundamentally the same: double wishbones at the front, multi-link at the rear.

In the cabin, Li Xiang’s influence is noticeable: the same miniature instrument panel screen, the same composite touchscreen, shifted to the right. Monitor diagonal is 30 inches, resolution is 6K. A similar display is available for rear passengers: it folds down from the ceiling. There is a built-in refrigerator, a Harman/Kardon audio system with speakers in the headrests, all three rows are electrically adjustable, the second row can be moved within a range of 550 mm, the third by 125 mm.
Lynk & Co did not skimp on expensive finishing materials and included a two-section panoramic roof, separate second-row seats, door closers and an autopilot with lidar as standard. Among the unusual features: matrix panels front and rear, on which you can display drawings with 3D animation, a composite trunk lid a la Range Rover, active aerodynamic elements in the front bumper and the ability to drive diagonally in crab mode.

Unlike Li Xiang’s hybrids, the Lynk & Co 900 still has the ability to connect an internal combustion engine to the front wheels. But instead of a three-stage transmission, a single-stage gearbox is installed. Three modifications are announced: a 1.5 turbo engine and two electric motors are installed in the base, and the peak output is 721 horsepower. An option is a 2.0 turbo engine option with two electric motors, the total power reaches 734 horsepower.
At the top of the range is an 857-horsepower system with a 2.0 turbo engine and three electric motors. This Lynk & Co 900 is capable of reaching 100 km/h from a standstill in four seconds. Alas, there is no data on traction batteries, charging speed, power reserve, curb weight, trim levels or prices: they will be published in the spring, closer to the start of sales.
Lynk & Co in Russia: prices announced for the 08 crossover and Z10 sedan
Now the top-end Lynk & Co 09 costs about 350 thousand yuan ($49 thousand), and this mark can be considered a benchmark for the new 900 crossover. It is curious how Geely will avoid internal competition between three technically similar models under different brands Lynk & Co, Zeekr and Galaxy, because judging by the spy shots, there will be no fundamental difference in technology.
