According to the German newspaper, as part of a large-scale business restructuring, the German concern, in particular, will stop production of the compact Taos crossover and the Jetta sedan. The Porsche Taycan electric car and the Skoda Fabia compact hatchback, as well as a number of other models, will leave the assembly line.
The publication has obtained a preliminary list of models that Volkswagen will be forced to get rid of as part of the fight against losses and large-scale business restructuring. In addition to the above models, it is expected that the Audi Q5 Sportback and Q6 e-tron Sportback coupe-crossovers will be discontinued.
It is also expected that Porsche will not release the second generation of the Taycan electric car and the Cayenne Coupe crossover. Also under threat is the entry into the market of a new generation of gasoline versions of mid-engined Porsches – the 718 Boxster and Cayman.
