By the end of this decade, the number of cars that do not need a driver will increase to 1.7 thousand on Russian routes. This was written by TASS with reference to the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Roman Starovoit. That is, in just five years, the number of drones, according to his forecast, will grow more than 20 times.
Now about 80 unmanned vehicles run on Russian highways. They are controlled by Yandex, Sber and Wildberries.
Yandex, for example, in October last year, brought a robotic truck based on the Chinese Shacman X6000 to the M-4 highway. The machine knows how to check with maps, recognizes road markings, infrastructure objects, as well as road signs and other participants in the movement. Before that, drones left for the M-11.
This year, geography was expanded to the CCAD, and in the next unmanned trucks will be released on the M-12 Vostok highway.
In Russia, road signs will be developed that warn Tesla unmanned machines began to test unmanned taxi, the authorities promise to reduce traffic jams on TTK in Moscow
Gosts are developed in parallel for such machines. They are going to present them by the end of this year.
And in 2027, cars without a driver will massively be used to public roads, they promised earlier in the Ministry of Transport. By this time in the country, it is necessary to create uniform rules, as well as infrastructure for the safe operation of such machines.
