The head of Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, gives in his telegram channel statistics on automobile brands officially and informally present in the Russian market. According to him, only from the beginning of 2025, the Russians bought cars 133 marks, more than half of which – namely 67 – Chinese. Among them there are “exotic”, whose cars got into our country in single copies.

Speaking about the predominance of Chinese brands, Tselikov clarifies that he is considering “the origin of the brand, not the ownership of the company.” In second place in the number of automobile brands is Japan – there are 12 of them. On the third line of Great Britain (10 brands), behind which with the same number of brands – nine pieces – Russia and the USA go. Next are Germany (eight brands), South Korea (six pieces), Italy (five brands) and France (three brands).
