As part of the PMEF-2025 forum, which is held in St. Petersburg these days, the premiere of the modernized Lada Niva Travel SUV. The model was not only transformed outside, but also received a new engine with a volume of 1.8 liters, which is more modern and powerful than the previous 1.7-liter. At the same time, Niva Travel became more economical – in some modes of fuel, the fuel consumption decreased by almost a third.
With restyling Lada Niva Travel, she made a completely LED optics, another bumper and a modernized radiator grille. In AvtoVAZ, it is noted that as a result of these changes, the SUV not only began to look more aggressive, but also increased the effectiveness of cooling the motor compartment, since the guides of the air flows appeared in the lattice, and the passage section increased.

Under the hood-a new 1.8-liter eight-valve engine with a capacity of 90 horsepower. This is seven forces more than that of the previous engine with a volume of 1.7 liters, and the torque increased by 24 nm. AvtoVAZ engineers created an original system of intake and release, cooling and fuel supply, and in total more than 50 elements were modernized in the motor. The specific fuel consumption decreased by 3-30 percent depending on the traffic mode.

Other changes are listed in AvtoVAZ, but so far without details: an adapted transmission, a new reptile stability stabilizer, which improved handling and smoothness, as well as ventilated brake discs and unregulated bearings in the front hubs, which “increased the safety of the car and the durability of the chassis”.
The updated Lada Niva Travel will come on sale in the fourth quarter of this year, prices have not yet been announced. As of mid -June, a pre -reform SUV can be bought for 1,314,000-1,639,000 rubles.
