For the last weekend at the Moscove Raceway Avtodrome, the RDS Fest large drift festival from the organizers of the Russian drift of the series was held. A wide range of entertainment venues was presented for participants and spectators: two high-speed track configurations, RDS lectures from the inside, a real service park, an exhibition of rare and tuned cars, a large concert platform and much more.
“The festival is a new format for us, our debut. The Russian drift series has always been the organizer of sports competitions in the Drift discipline, but we did not hold the entertainment format before. To organize such a festival – with free races, with friendly races of star pilots, with a wide range of sites – I was inspired by a visit to the homeland of drift, Japan. There, Matsuri – that is the name of the Drift holiday, the festival is a tradition, and I really liked it. According to the reviews of participants and spectators, we see that everyone really liked the new format, and we plan to make RDS Fest traditional. And running ahead, of course, I would like to expand the geography of our festival in the future, ”said Dmitry Dobrovolsky, director of the Russian drift of the series.
One of the key events of the festival day was the free races of RDS Matsuri. Everyone whose cars met minimal technical requirements could drive through two configurations of the professional Moscow Raceway Avtodrodrome and try their hand at a new level. More than 50 people from 17 regions of Russia were participants in such races, among them both professional pilots and amateurs.

The audience was remembered by the judicial confrontation. Judges of the RDS GP and RDS Open championships Vladimir Safonov, Mikhail Davidyants, Stanislav Dolgikh and Anton Novikov went to the track to compete with each other. According to the results of a series of races according to the “each” system with the judicial derby, the current RDS Open pilot and the RDS GP Judge Mikhail Davidyantz won – he showed confident races both as a leader and the position of the pursuer.
Under the scorching metropolitan sun, a harsh Siberian derby also took place, whose participants were: two-time winner of the FIA IDC World Cup, four-time RDS GP champion and winner of the Russian Cup in Drift George Chivchyan, Vice-Champion World Cup FIA IDC, champion RDS GP Arkady Tsaregrades, as well as rds-champions of RDS GP Damir Damir Damir Damir Damir Damir Damir Idiyatulin and Evgeny Losev. The stars of Russian drift showed exemplary adrenaline races, although it was not without Craes – in an uncompromising struggle, a spectacular clash of Tsaregradtsev and Chivchyan happened. “These races can really be called“ derby ”, Arkady and I had a contact on the track, which allows us to say that these are not just comradely races, this is a real struggle. I am a little upset that I did not won Tsaregradtsev, but at the same time I managed to enjoy the races. With this mood and charge, I will go to the new stage of the RDS GP, which will be held on July 19 and 20 on Adm Raceway, ”Georgy Chivchyan shared emotions.

A special intrigue of the festival was preserved around the challenge from the Star Pider Stars Aimol team for the right to participate in the “Winter Cup of the RDS” as part of the team and with its support. According to the results of the races, the judges were recognized as the winner of Alexander Stepovoy, a pilot from Moscow on the BMW E36, it is he who will enter the professional racing team to participate in the “Winter Cup of the RDS 2026”.
Exciting for the audience was the indicative arrival of the Kamaz-Master pilot Ayrat Mardeev and the RDS GP pilot Nikita Shikov. The nine-ton truck KAMAZ-435091 under the control of the winner of Dakar and the Silk Road demonstrated an impressive drift paired with the graceful Toyota Gr Supra with the pilot of the country’s chief drift championship. Such pair pirouettes in diverse vehicles are the top of the skill of owning a car in a controlled drift, and both pilots coped with this task perfectly.

The first RDS Fest was remembered not only by competitive activities. At the festival venues, pilots and members of the Russian Drift team held a public and master classes for the audience. So, in the RDS zone from the inside, the permanent presenter of the RDS Alisha Dyumovskaya met with the SMM manager of the RDS Vasilisa Hataka to tell the audience about the online formats of the series and how Internet content is created for different platforms. One of the most famous photographers in the world of Drift Stanislav Ten spoke about the nuances of his work, and the marketing director of the Russian drift of the series Ulyana Petrukhin revealed to the audience the secrets of work in the RDS and important details of the construction of a carport.
Another guest of Alishi was the blogger Anton “Forsage” Skrypnikov, who told the present about Japan and motorsport, the acting pilot RDS Open from the team “Tamashi Culture of Snoice” Igor Ozolin shared his history in the drift and how he came to the conduct of a thematic blog. The rider of the KamAZ-Master team Airat Mardeev spoke about the experience of participating in the Dakar and Silk Road rally-raids, and the experienced spotter Maxim Galilean, together with pilot Mikhail Davidian, discussed with the audience the importance of spotters in the world of drift.
Star pilots RDS GP Georgy Chivchyan, Damir Idiyatulin, Arkady Tsaregradsev and Evgeny Losev took part in the public with the RDS commentator Nikolai Svistun on the main stage of the festival, where they shared their impressions of the event, and also discussed the current season of the Russian Drift Grand Prix, refereeing and everything that was remembered season to its equator.

The “chip” RDS Fest has become a show active from pilots. Thus, the audience got the opportunity to try burgers prepared personally by George Chivchyan in the thematic zone of Gochagrill, and in the evening they were able to recharge with an excellent mood to incendiary dramas-bass tracks of the DJ-King (Arkady Tsaregradsev).
In the final of the festival day, a musician, actor came to the main stage, and at the same time, the RDS Open pilot from the Tamashi Snop Culture team Vladimir Afanasyev, better known as the rapper Nigativ. He performed his popular compositions and gave the guests and participants of the festival unforgettable emotions.
