The press service of Omoda notes that the manufacturer voluntarily initiates a review as a “preventive measure”. The reason was the production defect associated with the frontal pillow.
On the recalled vehicles, Omoda will replace the plastic steering wheel overlay assembly with frontal eirbeh. It turned out that the part was installed incorrectly: the guide was excessively tilted, which led to a reduction in the working course of press equipment. As a result, the lining covering the pillow adjoins loosely.
The problematic element will be replaced for free. The Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) has already been notified of the action, but has not yet published a list of Vin-number of recalled machines.
