The first in the Aion line will be an electric car under the symbol V. The new product is a direct competitor to the Geely EX5 electric crossover. The estimated price of the car will be 4.1 million rubles.
The length of the Aion V is 4605 mm, and the wheelbase is 2775 mm. The only electric motor with a capacity of 204 hp. With. drives the front wheels. The suspension is made according to the classic scheme for this class: McPherson struts at the front and a torsion beam at the rear.
The traction battery deserves special attention: the Chinese installed a 75 kWh battery from CATL in the Aion V. According to the outdated NEDC cycle, it provides a claimed range of up to 580 km. For comparison, the competitor Geely EX5 has a 60 kWh battery, and the range on a single charge does not exceed 430 km.
There are not a single physical key on the front panel. Nowadays, such a solution will not surprise anyone, although it is inconvenient to use.
Rear passengers are comfortable: there is a lot of space, the seat backs are adjustable for tilt, and there is a large panoramic roof overhead. There is a folding table in the back of the front seat. An uncommon solution for a compact crossover is a rear-view mirror, onto which the image from the camera on the roof is transmitted.
Interestingly, the potential demand for the Aion V in Russia may be fueled by its relationship with Toyota. The crossover is built on the same platform as the Toyota bZ3X model. The model itself is unknown to us, but the magic of the name “Toyota” may play a role.
