The bus, produced since 2016, has received its second major modernization. The main change was the new 3.0-liter 3GD-FTV turbodiesel engine, which develops 167 hp. and 452 Nm of torque. This was reported by the automobile portal “Drom”.
This engine replaced the 2.8-liter unit from the Hilux pickup (150 hp, 420 Nm), which has been installed since 2023. Initially, in 2016, the Coaster was equipped with a 4.0-liter Hino diesel engine, but it was discontinued due to stricter environmental regulations.
The updated model also features more efficient 17-inch ventilated disc brakes on both axles. In the passenger compartment, the number of USB-C connectors for charging devices has been increased.
