In Russia, license plates “EKKH” will be confiscated – “I drive as I want.” This was reported by the Mash Telegram channel.
“Cars with such state marks are under close attention of foreign intelligence services or ill-wishers. A resident of Nizhny Novgorod, who was refused to return his number due to a “fresh order,” received an explanation from the regional traffic police department. The reason is “restrictions to prevent the compromise of information” prescribed in federal laws No. 144 and No. 57,” the publication says.
According to the channel, reducing the number of cars with such license plates can reduce the threat to the lives of owners. In addition, this will help combat traffic violations.
It is also reported that the “EKH” plates appeared in 1996 as signs of official cars of the FSO, FSB and officials. Over time, such license plates began to be sold to ordinary motorists, but the association with the authorities remained. Such signs may soon be taken out of service: the State Traffic Inspectorate no longer registers such license plates when changing vehicles.
Earlier it was reported that they want to ban carsharing cars from parking in courtyards.
